Rioja is not only Spain’s most famous quality wine region but is currently one of the world’s most talked about wine producing regions. The last decade has seen an amazing re-focus on vineyards and wine styles. From the traditional styles of Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva, there are now producers looking at more modern styles as well as single vineyard wines. Huge investments have been made and quality has risen to the point where Rioja is probably on the cusp of a new ‘golden era’.
Presented by Alistair Gibson of Hermitage Cellars, this is a wonderful opportunity to re-visit Rioja and taste some of the regions most interesting wines paired with a 4-course gourmet dinner devised by Chef Josh Reeves and his team.
